California Pankration Championship - Santa Ana, CA
Venue: Santa Ana College Gymnasium
Schedule: Weigh-in 7am - orientation 9am - fights start 10am
Unlike Taekwondo, Pankration is a full-contact combat sport similar to UFC-MMA. Stricter
safety rules are observed so as to render it suitable for youth contenders.
Pankration does not score harmless "tag" strikes like Taekwondo does. Scores of strikes is
according to "perceivable damage". Pankration ighters may win by knockout, chokeout or tapout as
well as by points.
Taekwondo players with the courage to step up to a genuine fighting art should give it a try.
